Celebrating with the Bybee's!!!

While in Oklahoma we were able to celebrate two special events with Tim's sister, Liz, and family. First, I was able to attend a baby shower for her in celebration of Bailee Jo coming soon. It's the first girl we have had down south in the "Baxter" bloodline so we are all quite excited!

Then, on Monday we were able to celebrate Jack's 1st Birthday!

Dress Up

The boys, especially Colin, enjoyed hanging out with Grandma in her bathroom while she was getting ready in the morning. He particularly enjoyed playing in the shower for some reason.

Then he also saw this hat of Grandma's up in her closet and insisted on wearing it around.  It has a nice pink and purple feather on the side.

At one point he was even clinking around in one of my shoes and Grandma's hat.
Then he added the mini backpack with his puppy in it.

All About Colin

I had a little impromtu photo shoot with Colin one of the mornings we were outside. His clothes definitely aren't matching, and he's wearing Ryan's boots, but some of these still came out really well (if I may say so). I'll have to try and get some "official" two year old shots here in the next week.

How can you not love that face?!!  He's just too cute!

OOOOOO-klahoma...

We spent most of our extra time hanging around outside while in Oklahoma.  It wasn't quite as hot as it's been back home, so the boys really enjoyed the opportunity to get outside.  The humidity was definitely higher a few days we were there, but there was always a cool breeze blowin' thru.

Colin found a little flower to smell.  Just glad it wasn't out of Grandma's garden.

Then decided to share it with Grandma...
The boys love playing with the trucks and the rocks...

A HUGE garden spider that was over by the barn.  (YUCK!)
Paris enjoyed all the extra hay the boys gave her.

Playing with Blackie.
The next cow in line for the butcher's.  I think Grandpa referred to him as Brisket!

They're going to be hamburgers...

Almost two weeks ago now, the boys and I took a trip up to Oklahoma to visit Tim's family. We were able to enjoy this beautiful sunset the first night we got in. I love how there are pretty much NO trees in OK, but the one that there is blocks the view of Mt. Scott. Oh well.

Thursday morning I woke Ryan up to go with PaPa to take one of the cows to the butcher. Every cowboy needs a cup of chocolate milk to start his day....

Watching as PaPa and Grandma try and load the cow...

Off to the butcher...

I didn't get any good pics of the cow. I should have had my other lense on. When they came back I asked Ryan if there were any other cows at the butcher and he told me, "Yeah, but they're already dead. They're going to be hamburgers."

Blue Water

I've been out of it for a while. Going to do my best to try and catch up...slowly. This picture is actually back from September 5th. I put Colin in the bath that night by himself. I had just bought a brand new bottle of body wash for the boys. Blue body wash. He was playing so nicely and then after a few minutes he started calling my name. When I went up to check on him the water was blue. You can see from the picture that half of the body wash bottle is empty. Let's just say he came out squeaky clean with all that soap.
