Ryan's First Swimming Lessons

Last week Ryan started his first swimming lessons. As we were headed out the door on Monday, we got a call saying the teacher was sick and the first class was canceled. Bummer! Ryan already had his swimming trunks and sunscreen on, so we re-grouped and headed to the lake.

Day two was on schedule as normal thankfully. Ryan did great the first few days and I was hoping on Day 3 when she took them to jump off the diving board, with their life-vests on, that he would embrace it. He didn't re-act with the enthusiasm I was hoping. Long story short, the teacher dropped him into the other teacher who was in the water and came up crying. Oh well. More time, more practice.

He's been eager to go to the other classes, but he voices his opinion every time about not wanting to put his face under water. For his first class I think it's going pretty well. Definitely lets me know what we need to work on though.
